SIZENCOTE WEDDING VIDEO COTSWOLDS | ROSHNI + SIMON

One of the greatest things about running a small wedding videography business is word of mouth bookings. Knowing that previous wedding couples are recommending you to their closest friends is not only flattering but it also means we often have the chance to see old friendly faces once again, years later.

This was the case for Roshni and Simon’s wedding who were close friends of jumping spider couple from years back, Lauren and Dolapo. You can still see Lauren and Dolapo’s wedding video on our website. L & D’s was a brilliant day full of bright colours and very fun and Roshni and Simon’s wedding was no different; the vibe was just as fun and friendly, and the colours were incredible. A truly fantastic wedding.

The day itself took place at the stunning Sizencote House in Moreton-on-Marsh in the Cotswolds. There are so many brilliant wedding venues in the Cotswolds, but I can safely say that Sizencote may have jumped into our top 5. The day itself started with Matt filming Roshni getting ready into her outfit for the Hindu ceremony in one of the rooms at Sizencote before Simon turned up with his groom’s party and Matt headed over to film Simon also getting into his Hindu outfit. At the same time 2nd wedding videographer, Mark, went about shooting all those incredible drone shots that are featured in the wedding highlights video and are spread throughout the longer wedding video.

Once Simon was ready it was time for him to be lead into the wedding ceremony room by the drummers. I have to say it’s a brilliant way to make an entrance and we loved filming the drummers and the rather interesting attempts at dancing by Simon and his grooms party. Hindu wedding ceremonies are very different from traditional English civil ceremonies and Roshni’s arrival didn’t come until further in to the ceremony. Filming the Hind ceremony at Sizencote was an incredibly difficult affair. The shape of the ceremony room meant that we were unable to set up in convenient places, so we had to go handheld. A very hard way to film for a prolonged period.

Once the Hindi ceremony had finished it was time to mingle in the Hindu outfits before changing into fresh outfits for the English Civil Ceremony. Once again Jumping Spider were on hand to capture the changes and all the action out on the Sizencote lawn. The civil ceremony went off without a hitch and once that was over it was time for Roshni and Simon to let there hair down and to party with the rest of the guests.

Roshni and Simon had these words to say about us:

“We wanted to get in touch to thank you for your amazing work on our wedding day - you guys were incredibly professional, fun to be around and worked really well with our photographer, which was great to see! We watched the Highlights Film at the weekend and just watched the longer Wedding Film, and we loved them both - thank you so much for doing such an amazing job editing both!”
