ELMORE COURT WEDDING VIDEO IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE | JESS + JON
A simple yet stylish Mansion House wedding, filmed by Jumping Spider Films, at the Grade II listed Elmore Court in Elmore, Gloucestershire – with views over the Cotswolds and River Severn.
And so it was that on the 7th May 2016, on a sunny, late Spring morning, that the Jumping Spider Films wedding videography team loaded up their wedding videography kit and headed just down the road to one of our absolute favourite wedding venues to video, the stunning Elmore Court, in Elmore, Gloucestershire. This beautiful, Grade II listed Mansion House, available for exclusive use wedding hire, set in a bend of the River Severn, offers its guests true tranquility in a completely private, picturesque setting and combined with one of the most professional, yet personal, wedding co-ordination teams we’ve had the pleasure of working with, it’s certainly a wedding venue we’re happy to revisit, and film wedding videos at, time and time again.
We couldn’t help think whilst filming, and then we noticed a little more during the professional editing of Jess and Jon’s Elmore Court, bespoke wedding video, that their chosen venue very much embodied the style of wedding that Jess and Jon had designed for themselves; simple, beautifully understated but with plenty of gilt-edged, glittery gold touches, a little sparkle delightfully complementing the natural elements of a day filled with as many variations of spring and summery yellows that we could count. From the buttery champagnes of the bridesmaids’ gowns to the gentle dandelion ochres of the best men’s ties, Jess and Jon themselves dressed in slightly softer shades, the bride in a gorgeous white dress, with a full tulle skirt and delicate lace overlay, the groom in a relaxed blue suit with a cream tie and a coordinating pale-pink rose buttonhole.
And following Jess and Jon’s perfect wedding ceremony, filmed in the main house at Elmore, as the new Mr & Mrs Daley were showered in gold, ticker tape style, sequinned confetti, it was out onto the manicured lawns and ornamental gardens of Elmore Court - where giant jenga and croquet hoops had been arranged for the guests to enjoy - before family and friends entered Elmore Court’s sustainably built Gillyflower; a completely bespoke ballroom venue set in the Elmore Court grounds, perfect for dinner and dancing and it looks fabulous on the wedding video too. And speaking of dinner and dance, Jess and Jon’s guests did just that (wow, that wouldn’t be so easy to say after a few sparkling, celebratory toasts we’re sure!!). Illuminated by twinkling fairy lights, the scrubbed wooden tables and banquet benches bordered the dance floor ahead of Jess and Jon’s first dance as a married couple and the cutting of the most, blingiest wedding cake we have ever captured on camera (we think blingiest is a word, and after that fabulous cake, looking like something decorated with golden fairy dust, straight out of Tinkerbell’s bakery, we think it ought to be!).
Jess and Jon’s wedding was an extraordinarily warm and welcoming wedding video for Jumping Spider Films to make, an enchanting event from the bright and sometimes bold colour scheme to the sincere and sentimental speeches given by both the groom and the father of the bride; it was the perfect blend of simplicity and style, with a generous helping of sparkle, of course.
We hope we captured all of the wedding details of Jess and Jon’s wedding day that they would care to remember, the row of glittery, metallic shoes of the bridal party during the bride preparation, the fishtail plaits and festival hairstyles of the beautiful bridesmaids, the subtle pops of pink in the bride’s wildflower bouquet and the stylish, personalised menu cards wrapped in linen napkins.
